We had a snow day in DC today and the team plans on being back tomorrow.. They will be on the 3rd floor demoing ceiling and walls as previously planned..

Today the demo crew was able to expose some of the brick after removing the drywall and plaster on the perimeter walls.. This will allow us also to get the correct length required measurements to fabercate the new floor joist system..
The Team is back on site doing some exploratory work in the basement.. They’re checking the concrete footer to determine the adequate size to carry the load of new open web joist system… Also the demo is moving along very nicely, they’re making head way filling up those dumpsters! Early in the Morning we had snow in DC at the Embassy. The Team kept marching along on the demo and it is looking great.. Today was a very productive day removing debris, working in sequence, cleaning up demo areas… Expediting the proper care during drywall/plaster removal of the walls and ceiling… This will keep the project a safe working environment and allows us to move forward hitting our target date..
The team is continuing to push forward on all demo aspects. ECG Superintendent Larry started to measure openings for new windows throughout the building. As the demo process continues Larry can collect proper measurements for other specialty items down the road.
The demo team onsite is still making their way through the removal of drywall from all the walls and ceilings. Dumpsters have arrived and are filling up very quickly!
Today, E Construction Group’s Superintendent Larry Karpik and the demo crew scoped out best areas to start the removal of drywall from walls and tile/grid from the ceilings. The 3rd floor was discussed and chosen to start the demo process.
Today the ECG team has erected its fenced in staging area and dumpster site with the spaces given to us by D.C. along with a ramp down the entrance of the embassy to make the trash removal process efficient.
